In this episode…

Is your business missing out on opportunities, but you don’t know why? Or has your business grown to a level where you’ve lost touch with why you started in the first place? Suppose your brand is out of alignment with its target audience, and your messaging isn’t conveying how you can solve their problems. In that case, it’s impacting your entire business.

More and more consumers and employees are resonating with brands that are doing good in the world — they’re in it for purpose over profit. The companies that embody this mantra have incredible results. The crucial question: is your brand conveying that to their audience? Brands need a structured way to understand who they are to project authentic messaging according to their brand identity. You do that by honing in on what’s important for your brand, the planet, and how you can contribute and serve others and then marry it with your marketing messages. If those things aren’t aligned, you’re probably missing many opportunities.

Listen to this episode of the Rising Entrepreneurs Podcast with Dr. Jeremy Weisz featuring the Founder, President, and Chief Right Engine of TwinEngine, Winnie Hart. She explains why it’s essential for companies to have a clear brand identity and its far-reaching effects. They discuss what goes into creating a brand strategy, identifying and sticking to your target audience, finding your brand’s higher purpose, why it matters, and more.

Winnie Hart  2:44

Awesome. I’m so excited to be here Jeremy.

Jeremy Weisz  2:46

So TwinEngine, tell me what you do a TwinEngine and where the name comes from

Winnie Hart  2:51

TwinEngine? Well, you know, I have a little brother Tommy, by the way, there’s more than just Winnie and Laurie. And my brother, Tommy. I mean, imagine being the brother of two identical twins. Pretty crazy childhood. My dad decided that he wanted to have a relationship with Tommy. So to have a better relationship with Tommy, my dad decided, well, you know, I’m gonna I’m gonna build remote control airplanes. And we’re going to fly these things. And so they did that. So I remember such a such a years and years of my childhood, we would I would watch my dad and my brother Tommy build these remote control airplanes. And we’d go out into this, this field every week, every week. And we would watch Lorrie and I would sit there my identical twin sister Laurie would sit there and watch them, you know, build these planes while these planes cross these planes. And it was really, really a fantastic thing to learn about. I learned a lot about flying very, very early on. And then my dad was younger I remember our I can remember it very distinctly my dad was was talking to us, he said you know it kind of want to learn how to fly a big plane. And, and so he learned how to fly. I mean, I remember there’s big big stacks of books on the kitchen table growing up and learned how to teach. He taught himself how to fly and, and never forget the day when you know, looking up, you know, in our 900 square foot house in Louisiana and see my dad do his first flyover. And so we named the company to TwinEngine after my dad, because he says you know, you gotta learn how to fly small planes before you buy big ones. So it’s pretty cool.
